GB1042 Autonomous Operations Maturity Model v1.0.0

Autonomous Operations (AO) refers to all of the activities carried out using AI Closed Loop and Autonomous Systems/Networks to deliver specific enterprise/business outcomes. Autonomous operations will coordinate multiple autonomous systems or networks, using AI closed loop automation to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and/or increase agility. The Autonomous Operations Maturity Model (AOMM) brings a unique approach to enterprise performance assessment when using autonomous systems/networks and AI closed loops to deliver value.

This guide establishes the standard for an AO maturity model with assessment criteria defined using a maturity grid assessment framework and reference to the TM Forum Digital Maturity Model (DMM). The framework is defined to leverage inputs from other capability assessment models that enable an organization to define their ambitions and track progress towards achieving those ambitions. The AOMM will continue to leverage learnings from different maturity model types, their focal points and attributions, to improve the “levels of maturity” and establish AO taxonomy, assessment dimensions and level criteria for an organization, from AO initiative inception to realization.
