The current document is an addendum to the main document of TM Forum “IG1130 Future TAM Impacts by SDN/NFV”. The objective of the addendum documents is to perform the detailed analysis of SDN/NFV impacts based on the high-level study presented in the document IG1130, and other ongoing projects within TM Forum, to create CRs for TAM.
The analysis presented in this document studies the requirements of 5G Network Slicing. While 5G is a technology evolution and TAM remains technology agnostic, it is important to understand whether the requirements of 5G are supported by TAM, and whether SDN/NFV plays an important role in enabling Network Slicing.
