IG1158 Operations Center of the Future – Future Roles, Competencies and Culture R17.0.1

This document outlines future roles and competencies required by a Communications Service Provider (CSP) within the Operations Center of the Future.

It is the result of a collaborative project which identified critical activities, defined key roles and competencies, and charted a road map to build the necessary capabilities. This exploratory research utilized an application-oriented methodology, supported by a technical architecture which defines the structure and culture that will prepare organizations for digital transformation.

It proposes:

  •  The 3D analysis method
  • A methodology for designing future roles, functions and competencies.
  • A collaborative learning methodology to develop skills and culture.
  • Best practice and methodology for executing the necessary skill and culture transformation.

It leverages the Digital Maturity Model & Metrics to measure progress on skills and culture transformation.
