IG1396 Zero Touch Partnering for Open Gateway 3.0.0 explores the use of Zero Touch Partnering within the context of the Open Gateway initiative, demonstrating how digital ecosystems can benefit from the combined strengths of both frameworks. Zero Touch Partnering is a mature TM Forum specification that outlines the key building blocks needed to automate the partner lifecycle and enhance the overall partner experience. This guide addresses several operational dimensions of digital ecosystems, managed by CSPs, that expose capabilities via Open Gateway-based interfaces, engaging operators, channel partners, and application developers. It explores areas that are less highlighted in the GSMA’s Open Gateway Channel Partner Onboarding Guide, especially concerning the end-to-end partner management lifecycle. It proposes how TM Forum’s Digital Ecosystem artifacts (e.g. Zero Touch Partnering), alongside the TM Forum Operate APIs and ODA components, can provide the clarity and structure needed to support these areas, enabling a robust digital ecosystem powered by the Open Gateway.
The guide also explores how an Open Gateway–based digital ecosystem can be leveraged to expose partner capabilities as bundled offerings, integrated with existing digital services. The GA version of this document enhances the previous release by incorporating feedback from the TM Forum Operate API team, which is actively developing APIs for operationalizing Open Gateway–based service exposure. It also expands the user stories with new scenarios covering Service API product usage and revenue sharing between operators and channel partners.
